Hop 5: BUN SLAMMIIIN!


Heyo! Welcome to the next update to Bun Bun Land! Hop 5: BUN SLAMMIIIN! adds a cool new feature into the game! SLAMMIN! Your bun can now slam into the ground which can be used to defeat certain enemies and break open breakable objects!

Fun fact! The slam ability was made with a few lines of new code and the same objects that hazards are made from! Versatility for the win! Take that hard coders!

With this cool mechanic I did add in collectables that are pretty sweet on their own! Currently there's a health pickup! No scoring just yet or special abilities. While I wanted to cram them into this update to bloat it to make it feel more "complete". I don't know if I want scoring in the game or if I want it only on higher difficulties. And I don't know what cool special abilities I want instead of just copying other successful platforming specials like the Mario Star or Fire Flower.

Crates that break don't always have collectables; they're random! You can get one of X collectables, sometimes even 2! Maybe 3...? It's a pretty random system to give each level more replayability. Why do I care about replayablity knowing the game will be simple? Unlockables. Cosmetics will exist and later you'll be able to purchase them from stores in HUB areas. If you rip through the game and don't have enough  currency due to bad luck or just not picking up currency; you wouldn't be able to unlock anything else. And I don't want going back to grab more currency to be boring and tedious; but fun! I'll be adding a lot more randomizations in the future as well.
